Scenes from the rest of Steve

2020 Jacked at 70, baby! Arrived in Las Vegas after having embarked on a major self-improvement program that involved... substances... back in PA.

1969-1972  Three years of college football at Brooklyn College. Played offensive tackle/defensive end. Made the papers for a 20-yard scamper with a recovered fumble.

2005 Won league championship as coach, first year of over-45 ball in the highly competitive (several national championships) Lehigh Valley Men's Senior Baseball League.

Circa 2010 Managing the over-45 all-star team; a moment of decision in the dugout.

2008 Batting in the over-45 all-star game at Coca Cola Park, Bethlehem, PA. Proud to say I made it at 58.

1968 Co-winner of the "Music Medal" awarded to outstanding graduating musician, Tilden High School, Brooklyn, New York.

2026 Man with bat. Still taking 100 swings every other day, ever since Dad first handed me a toy bat some 75 years ago

1996 With my staff at The American Legion Magazine. I was publisher/editor-in-chief. I'm in the (too) light gray suit at left.

1997 Announcement of my first faculty position, Indiana-Bloomington. Side note: It took me nearly two decades to climb back to the same professorial salary they paid me at IU.

1985 Delighted to pass a Houston bookstore that happened to have my first book (TNS) on display. I was in Texas researching my second book, which eventually became a TV-movie
